Stanjel Castle Wedding: A Slovenia Fairy Tale

Rustic and charming, the natural beauty of Castle Stanjel plays homage to tradition as our couple said I Do surrounded by family and friends.

Stanjel Castle Wedding

The remote yet prominent location of Stanjel Castle is a fairy tale wedding scene in its own right. The destination seems made for couples to celebrate their love, with mountain vistas and lush green forests all around. As one of the oldest settlements in the Karst region, the castle has been the site of weddings for hundreds of years, with the love stories of past occasions still lingering in the air.

Our Stanjel castle wedding enjoyed a warm summer day with clear blue skies and sun-kissed backdrops. But the real warmth came from the love of the family and friends who stood by as the bride walked down the aisle and into the arms of her beloved, as they prepared for a new life together.

Writing a New Story of Tradition

The bride began her day at boutique hotel St. Daniel near Stanjel with her closest friends, while the groom prepared with his friends at the Castle. The bride wore an astonishing dress by Alessandra Rinaudo, while the groom stunned in a suit made by Rocchini Cerimonia.

The wedding ceremony sparkled in natural decorations and flowers planned by Cara Creative. T + L opted for a minimalist natural style befitting an ages-old locale, ensuring that no extravagance took away from the warm, friendly vibe of their special day. They decided to skip the intimacy of a first look and instead first saw each other at the ceremony, sharing a beautiful moment with their guests.

While the crowd dabbed their eyes at such an emotional first look, the couple couldn’t stop smiling as they channeled their love and energies into the ceremony. With the undoubted support of their guests, T + L embarked on a lifetime of love and added a new chapter to the traditions of Stanjel Castle.
