Beautiful DIY wedding
How can we start describing this gorgeous wedding?
It was sunny morning when we headed to karst region in Slovenia. We usually go on weddings with at least an hour of buffer time so we can see the location for portrait shoot. And of course, to drink some coffee before work 🙂
If you already saw some of our work, you have probably seen that we mostly take photos on seaside or Karst. Although we live in Ljubljana (capital city of Slovenia), we would love to build a small house on western side of Slovenia. Being a wedding photographer, this is actually possible because we mostly work from home.

Ana and Rok the day started at Majerija, gorgeous venue in Vipava valley. When I saw her dress my jaw dropped! So simple, yet so beautiful. Lower part of the dress was simple and white, while upper part was shinning gold shirt. It suits her sooo good! They were all set and it was time for their first look. They let us find location for first look and for a wedding photographer, you can’t wish for more 🙂 His smile tells everything and from that moment on, thy haven’t stop smiling!
We moved to a really beautiful location near Ajdovščina and it was a first wedding to be there. When you parked, you already saw brides calligraphy work. All the details, from signpost, to umbrellas…. They thought of everything. A few weeks earlier on their engagement shooting, Ana told us she has made 500 paper cranes, but we couldn’t imagine how beautiful this could be! Ceremony started and love was in the air! First kiss as bride and groom. Everyone started clapping and laughing, guitarist started playing love song and everything was perfect.
Soon it was time for a portrait session of bride Ana and groom Rok. As I mentioned before, we always go on a wedding location a few hours earlier so we discovered a beautiful castle in the middle of nowhere. It is sad to see this majestic castle falling apart, but we made the best of it as light was a dream for a wedding photographer.
Sun went behind the mountains, and party time started. They opened dance floor with their first dance as bride and groom, made a cut in wedding cake and from there on, they danced all night long!
We are truly happy and glad they choose us as their wedding photographer.
